Comic Con: MCM London - Little Sister

So, finally, after what feels like a life time of waiting... My Little Sister dress, arrived! :D
I was lucky enough to find a dress on: http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/273061609.html and each of these dresses are hand made and can be custom made to your size! So, if you're ever looking to Cosplay the Little Sister, I would highly recommend using these people, they create an amazing dress and its definitely worth the money to have a much more authentic Little Sister look.

Had I have had more time, I would have undertaken the task of making it myself, but, I only made the choice to Cosplay as the Little Sister at the beginning of October, so I didn't want to chance it.

Anyway, the dress arrived! and it looked awesome! The only issue I had was with the apron as I couldn't get it over my hips or shoulders to get it to my waist... So, I had to do a bit of re-work on that, but, it still looks the same and just makes my life easier :)

Unfortunately, in all my excitement, I forgot to take a picture of the dress when it arrived and before all the dirtying up process began. However, the end result, I am very happy with :D

Dirtying this up was a lot of fun! I used a massive wire brush to help me fray the edges I had cut, and sandpaper to weaken the material.
For the dirt on the dress, I first sprayed over the bottom of the dress with black spray paint, just to dull down the colour of the dress. I then used wet tea bags to help me stain along the bottom and further up the dress to help it look more dirty and muddy. The last step was the blood!

I did a quick test run on the whole look, make up and contacts as well, just to see how long it will take me to get ready, the only pictures I could get were from a friends phone though, so excuse bad quality. Either way, I'm happy with the whole outcome, I am very much excited for next weekend! :D

Journey Inspiration

Talking to one of my friends about the game Journey inspired this hour doodle. I was suppose to speed paint but I got a bit caught up in it and it ended up taking longer...

MCM London Preparations!

So, at the end of this month I'm off to MCM in London! :D I only decided a few days ago that I wanted to try and Cosplay as a Little Sister from Bioshock 2...

So, today my yellow contact lenses arrived, and after a good 20 minutes of panic blinking and tears, I finally got them in.. And they are awesome! :D So, my hair is dyed a nice dark brown, I have my contact lenses, all I need now is my dress :)
I would have loved to make the dress, but, because of the time issues, Ive had to buy one instead.. So, fingers crossed that turns up in time!

Bring on MCM! :D

Seven Freerun Classes

So, another video for my friends in Seven Freerun, we decided to get some shots of their classes here in Burnham to help promote them a bit more and show off their classes and such. All this footage was from one session, 4:40 worth of video from 129 filmed shots.... It was a lot to go through, but, it gave me something to do :D

One of the pluses to this is getting to experiment more with After Effects, since they didn't have an opening logo sequence, Ive been trying to work out different techniques to animate it :)
Also learning a few things about my camera as well, one being, it doesn't like low lighting, which is annoying... another being, I should really check my settings before filming so I don't get constant blurring of the Auto Focusing, damn technology!

Seven Freerun: Photo Edits From Burnham Session

Some photo edits following the video I done for Seven Freerun :)
These guys are just starting out on this business venture of theirs, they're doing it for the pure fun of Parkour/Free Running, and I admire them for that!
They are a genuine group of people, friends of mine throughout the past 5 years or so.. So, if anyone could give them some support or if people are interested in seeing where these guys go, visit them here: https://www.facebook.com/SevenFreeRun?fref=ts :D

Just a minor injury, perks of a passion!

Meteor Shower Inspiration

After hearing the possibility of a meteor shower in the UK, i felt obliged to look upwards whilst walking home, I saw no shower, but the sky was incredible... So I felt a meteor inspired drawing was in order.
After taking my place at the patio door with my laptop, tablet, carton of orange juice and cats jumping past me; all lights were dimmed and headphones were put in. This is the creation of about 2 hours work.. I enjoyed messing around with the colours, I'm not normally one for colourful pieces.

Summer Editing

This year, some friends of mine started a Freerunning/Parkour company to teach the local kids and do gigs and such. Luckily for me, they wanted some videos done to show their progression and help advertise themselves a bit more.
On Wednesday, I sent Tom out with my camera to do some tester shots and just mess about to see the capabilities of my camera. Although the clips that were filmed weren't really done to be made into a 5 minute video, I done it anyway.
So, after a few days of messing around with the arrangements and trying to find enough footage to fit the song, it has finally all come together in a decent enough way.
Hopefully we get a few more video adventures before I leave again because I found this rather entertaining!

I hope for more videos to follow where I can shoot some awesome stuff for these guys! None of it is serious, it's just a little fun for them and for me. So, heres the video:

Crazy Lady

So, this piece I've been working on a few hours here and there, I didn't start it with a design in mind so things have been changed/added as I've gone along. I always wanted to try do a full body piece without the use of lineart, which is something I've relied on so far when drawing people.

The beginning..

So it's the summer after the first year of uni, and after developing different skills, I want to try and keep them in practice over summer and dedicate some of my time into improving certain areas of my drawing capabilities. Such as faces. And people in general.
So to begin, a simple drawing of me!
